Hi,

Please see the information below from Alison Macfarlane about French
group BandaBéro who are performing in St Albans.

Bob

BandaBéro, from St Albans’ twin town of Nevers in central France, is a
dance band playing the music derived from the local region, the
Nivernais. It is doing a short tour of Southern England at the end of
October and spending two days in St Albans. On Friday October 28, it
is playing a concert in Redbourn Village Hall at 8pm, with support for
local duo na-mara. On Saturday afternoon, there will be a musicians
workshop at 2pm at St Julian’s Church Hall, St Albans. Nevers has a
rich heritage of songs and tunes collected over a century ago by local
writer Achille Milien, so there will be much to share. On Saturday
evening at 8pm, BandaBéro will be playing for a dance at Francis Bacon
School, Drakes Drive, St Albans at 8pm, preceded by a dance workshop
at 5.30pm to teach their dances.
